Dr Joaquin Vespignani is an Associate Professor in Economics and Finance at Tasmanian School of Business and Economics, University of Tasmania. He is also the co-founder director of the research program "Covid-19 and the Macroeconomics" and a research associate of the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis at the Australian National University, and research associate at the Globalization and Monetary Policy Institute at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He serves on the Australian National Economic Expert Panel at the Economic Society of Australia. Previously, he has worked as a Principal Economist for Australia and New Zealand for one of the Barclays Investment Bank.
Dr Vespignani specializes in Applied Macroeconomics, Energy Economics, and Money and Finance. He has widely published in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals in Economics and Finance such as Journal of Banking and Finance, Energy Economics, Economics Letters, Canadian Journal of Economics, Economics Modelling, Applied Economics, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Journal of Asian Economics, Economic Papers and Australian Economics History Review.
